Tinubu splits APC leaders

Former Governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress has divided the party.

Some leaders of the party are divided over the role he played in the last governorship elections in Ondo State.

The leaders have not agreed on how to handle the former governor on his alleged role in the Ondo poll, reports Punch

Some of them believed Tinubu, together with Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, worked against the interest of the party in the election.

Both men are accused of supporting the candidature of Olusola Oke of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) with funds and other logistics for the election.

Oke left the APC to contest under the AD after an alleged botched primary.

It was gathered that the hardliners in the APC, who are mostly against Tinubu, are calling for the sanctioning of the former governor and his loyalists.

But other leaders loyal to Tinubu have insisted that he did no wrong.

They stated that those who are against Tinubu should remember his contributions to the formation of the  party and the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari
