Jason Derulo Says Pressure to Get Married Was the Reason Why He and Jordin Sparks Broke Up
Bull crap!
Pray tell me why shouldn't a girl think of marriage after 3 years in a relationship, you featured her in your “marry me” video and you still expect her not to consider marriage? hellooooo.
How long should one be in a relationship to ask where the relationship is heading? What about where signals are sent, shouldn't she be smart enough to read in-between the frequency lines? Dude, you sent the wrong signal! You shouldn't have featured her in your ‘marry me’ video, keep your cool, do your thing and let her know that what is paramount to you right now is your career.
3 years relationship and you talk about pressure? You got to be kidding me!
It’s a known fact that when a man is ready to settle, he doesn't need or require any push, he sees what he likes and goes for it, o well, maybe a little push..lol
Little Bow Wow got engaged after only six months of dating fiancée Erica Mena, yea, they are celebrity alright, therefore, the marriage may or may not take place, however, bottom-line is that once a man is ready he goes all the way out. Even Hollywood longtime player and bachelor George Clooney is settling with his Amal Alamuddin, no one expected that but when he saw what he wanted, he went for it! The saying that a man knows if he will marry a girl within 15 minutes of meeting her has some element of truth. Guys should be smart enough to handle their business right!
If you are in a relationship and after 6 months, the dude is not saying anything tangible, if you want the real deal, babe, feel free to ask questions and get satisfying answers, and if you are not cool with his answers, Nne, you have a choice to stay put or talk a way, it all depends on what you want in life...fun or commitment?.
Both Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo are opening up about what lead to the end of their nearly three year relationship.
The "Battlefield" beauty first spoke on this morning's Today show after she was asked how she's been handling the split.
"I'm good, actually," she explained with a smile. "The funny this is I read this quote, 'When something unexpected happens in your life or you think something bad happens, just say, plot twist! And move on.'"
Sparks' response echoed her earlier sentiments late last week, when she broke her silence on the breakup in a tweet that read:
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
Meanwhile, Derulo stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest and was way more candid about what was really going on between the famous duo.
"Every relationship has ups and downs. There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time," he explained.
When asked if he and Sparks were in a good place yet, he answered extremely honestly.
"I wouldn't say good terms," he admitted. "I'll be lying if I said that, but it's not a bad situation. There's no bad blood. We didn't end off on a weird way or a negative way. It's not like we're hitting each other up, like, ‘Hey, what are you doing today?'"
The two first made their relationship public back in January 2012, but they were first romantically linked as a couple in September 2011.
But alas, it turns out that their onscreen love story didn't quite pan out in real life.
Just hours after E! News exclusively broke the news of the split, Derulo opened up to KDWB-FM's Big D about the ultimate decision to pull the plug on his romance with Sparks.
He explained that there's no bad blood between them and adding that the former longtime couple will remain friends.
"Yeah, everything is cool, man," he said. "It's not a bad situation. You know, it's not one of those kinda things."
