Baby Killed In Police/Shiite Clash Buried Amid Tears (SEE PHOTOS)


Photos have emerged of the heart-breaking burial of 8-month-old girl killed by a stray bullet in the clash between police and Shiite Muslims in Kano on Monday, November 14.


Daily Post reports that baby Zainab was buried amid tears after she was killed instantly when a stray bullet hit her while strapped to her mother’s back.



Photos of Zainab’s burial have now gone viral days after members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) clashed with police in Kano state.

Recalls that several Shiite members were reportedly killed and many other people injured during the clash between the NPF/ Shiites sides on the roads of Kano on Monday as the IMN members were trekking for the annual Arbaeen Symbolic Trekking from Kano to Zaria in Kaduna state.


Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, Idris Ibrahim, says his men had no choice than to open fire on protesting members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shi’ites at Tamburawa village near Kano metropolis. Ibrahim said some members of the group were armed to the teeth with guns and other dangerous weapons.
