Chilling News Of How Gen. Idris Alkali Was Murdered And Body Found In Well


A story that started as a missing person has blow into a  murder case.

We went from a missing  General,  then to a possible abduction until his car was tracked to a pond which has been nicknamed  " pond of death" in Jos, Plateau state where the general's car was found among other vehicles including an 18 seater bus.


As if it's in the movies, local divers recovered items which will serve as evidences in the court of law for murder cases of various degree.

The General's Toyota corolla was pulled out of the pond but Gen. Idris Alkali’s body was not seen.

The question continued to be asked from all quarters,  where is Gen Alkali?

According to media report and statement from the Nigerian Army,  one of the suspects that were arrested carved in to reveal what indeed happened to the Army General and he took them to where his body was dumped like a common criminal.


"Update on Search and Rescue Operations for missing Maj Gen IM Alkali (rtd). In continuation with the search and rescue of Maj Gen IM Alkali (rtd) At  about 0715hrs today 31 Oct 2018, a team made up of personnel of Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps, MIlitary Police, Public Relations, Nigeria Police Force, Fire Service rescue team as well as members of other security agencies set out to a suspected well where the exhumed body was allegedly dumped on the night of 29 Sep 2018 following the recovery of his car from the pond."

The Team was joined by Troops from 3 Div Garrison and Nigerian Army Engineers to drain the well.

The well was drained revealing the decomposed body parts of the Senior Officer. Further search led to recovery of other items including the shirt the senior officer wore on the day of his disappearance.

The leader of the search and rescue operation,told reporters that one of the people arrested in connection with the killing of the late Army major General took the rescue and search operation team to the abandoned well where his remains was relocated to.

The leader of the search operation assured that any one found in connection with the killing of the senior army officer will face the full wrath of the law irrespective of his or her position in the society.

The remains of the late Major general Alkali was then lifted to the army ambulance in a short military parade to the headquarters of 3rd armour Division where he will be given a proper military burial.
